On November 1, 1978, a bouncing baby boy entered the world in Dallas, Texas to the parentage of Jeff and the late Mae Opal (Nixon) Vick and they named him Cedric Dion Vick.

Cedric received his formal education from Wilmer Hutchins ISD, where he graduated from Wilmer Hutchins High School in 1997. After graduation, Cedric began his career in security with the Dallas Public Schools. At the time of his death, he was employed with NorthStar Security.

Cedric accepted Christ into his life in 2009 at the Southside Church of Christ where he was baptized under the tutelage of Brother Jimmy Stokes, he later moved his membership to Central Pointe Church of Christ where he remain faithful until his death.

Cedric was proceeded in death by his mom, Mae Opal Vick, sisters Jacqueline and Crystal, maternal grandparents W. T. & Lizzie Nixon, paternal grandparents Alvin Franks & Bernice Jenkins. He leaves to cherish his memory: his dad, Jeff Vick, Sr.; sister, Cynthia Vick; brother, Jeff Vick, Jr. (Mary) all of Dallas, Texas.

Nieces: De'Anna, Javonique, Jessica, Keyarrow and Shamia. Nephews: Billy Jr, Jeff III, Kendrick, and Marquan. God Brothers:  Todd Hendrix &Family, and Warren Hornsby & Family 4 Great nieces 6 Great nephews, 6 Aunts, 2 Uncles, a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
