Cecil Eugene Gasaway was born January 15, 1962 to the parents of Willie D. Ervin & Alice Faye Wilson in Dallas, Texas. He was educated in DISD, graduating from L.G. Pinkston in 1981. After school he worked for the City of Dallas.

He is preceded in death by his parents Willie D. Ervin and Alice Faye Wilson.

Cecil leaves to cherish his memories (3) children: Cecil Phillips, Sidney Phillips and Marnesha Faggett; (1) sister Carolyn Wilson; (2) brothers: James Wilson and Terrence Wilson; (17) grandchildren; (2) great grandchildren; (7) nieces; (3) nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
