Catherine Scott-Jones was born on December 2, 1943 in Hawkins, Texas to the late Reecie Scott and Linnie Bell-Scott. She was married to Billy Ray Jones whom preceded her in death.

She was given her wings in Heaven on May 14, 2025. She then joined her parents, brother Reecie Scott Jr. and sister Janette Kay Scott in eternal life.

Catherine is survived by her daughter Demetra Edwards; (8) siblings: Dorothy Chalk, Bahiyyah Nurridin, Charrie Edwards, Freddie Blackmon, Thomas Scott, Margaret Brown. Martin Scott and Kenneth Scott along with a host of other family and friends.
