Betty Sue Townsend was born in February 6, 1932 to the parents of Albert J. Lewis Sr. and Mattie Lou Garrett Lewis in Fate, Texas where later she moved to Chisholm, Texas. She attended Chisholm ISD, where she later moved to Dallas, Texas and she married Grady Townsend and to this union five girls were born. Years later she conceived three boys with Roger Moye.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Albert Lewis Sr. and Mattie Lewis, (2) daughters: Marilyn Townsend and     Doris Townsend, (2) sisters: Juanita Hickman and Anner Archie, (5) brothers: Billy Ray Lewis, Billy Dae Lewis, Bobby Lewis, Albert Lewis Jr. and Earnest Lewis and a great   great grandchild Yasin Townsend.

Betty leaves to cherish her memories (3) daughters: Lorine Price, Bobbie McKinney (Dewayne) and Eunice Hudspeth (Donnie); (3) sons: Kenneth Townsend, David Townsend (Janice) and Timothy Townsend; (1) brother Jerry Lewis; (3) sisters: Eloise Nuk Lewis, Francis Hardin (David), Dorothy Archie; (2) bonus daughters: Tina Townsend-Davis and  Tenqua Townsend-Smith; (13) grandchildren: Anthony     Lawrence, Tonya Sparks, Tashandra Townsend,   Donnie Townsend, Dermonico Townsend, Laquisha Edwards, Nakia Price, Terry McKinney, Africa McKinney, Tiffany McKinney, David Shields, Antoinette Townsend-Dismuke and DaVita Townsend; (45) great grandchildren; (25) great great grandchildren; (1) great great great grandchildren along with a host of other relatives and friends.
