Barry Leon George was born on December 16, 1955 to the late L.D. George and Lula Bess Barge. He was the fifth of eight children and received his formal education in the Dallas Independent School District.

At an early age Barry became a member of the Greater Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. James Sutton. He worked for Glen Daks Slack Factory for 30 years and later for Walmart Optical Warehouse from which he retired. Barry enjoyed life, all sports and spending time with his family. Barry will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Loved ones he join in eternal life along with his parents are one sister Yvonne Taylor and one brother Lendell George.

Barry leaves to cherish his memories lifelong partner Lawanda Brown; stepson Kelvin Brown both of Irving, TX; (2) brothers: Benny Ray George (Ethel) of Cedar Hill, TX and Winford L. George, Sr. (Janice); (3) sisters: B.J. George, Eva J. George and Stephanie George-Stevenson (Tommie); (1) uncle Billy George (Annie) all of Dallas, TX; (2) little sisters: Renee Tinsley and Jaquelyn George; a very special niece LaTeisha .Haynes; (18) nieces and nephews along with a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
