Barbara Jewel Patrick was born to the parent of Ovilla Patrick. She accepted Christ at an early age. She attended Dallas Independent School District. She married King David Ferris.

Barbara leaves to cherish her memories (4) sisters: Kay Patrick, Shirley Pope, Sandra Pope and May Helen Pope; (2) brothers: Robert Patrick and Charles Pope; (3) children she raised as her own Desmond, Marquis (Big Red) and Kristine and a host of other relatives and friends.
