Obituary

Asencion Guereca Luna; Husband, Father,Grandfather, was born in Durango, Mexico to his parents Rufino Guereca and Luciana Luna. He went to be with the Lord on August 10th, 2024 in Dallas, Texas at the age of 85. He is survived by his eleven children, Jose Luis Guereca, Blanca Guereca, Martin Guereca, Jose Trinindad Guereca, Asencion (Tony) Guereca, Nora Gooch, Lauren Rodriguez, Alma Rocha, Araceli Gieralt, Alex Guereca and Noel Guereca, two brothers and two sisters, 25 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren.

He became a born again Christian in 1977, he loved reading the scriptures daily and spending time with his family. He traveled extensively to Mexico. He worked in farms and warehouses. He also enjoyed western movies and talking about his adventures from his youth as well as his love for swimming.

One of his favorite scriptures is Psalms 23: The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Viajó extensamente a México.
