Allen Earl Carter Sr. best known as Daddy, Papa, Uncle  Ninny or Mr. Ninny to family and friends. He was born on December 31, 1937 in Greenwood, LA to the parents of  Emmaline Carter and C.B. Carter Sr., who preceded him in death. Allen was a strong wise man that survived many obstacles at a young age.

He and his twin brother Alvin raised their younger siblings at the age of 15. When Allen was 18 years old he moved to Dallas, TX and working as a construction worker foreman.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Crystal Yvonne Brown, 8 siblings: S.D. Draper, C.B. Carter Jr., Alvin Carter, Rindell Carter, Artis Joe Carter, Sybill Carter, Alice Faye Carter, Curtis Carter Sr. and Sandra Jefflo .

Allen leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife of 53 years Irene Carter; Children: Allen (Shenika) Carter Jr.,     Patricia (Anthony) Carter-Evans, Curtis ; (16) grandchildren; (33) great grandchildren; (1) great great grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends.
