Albert Ray Sweatt Sr. was born on March 9, 1955 in Marlin, TX to the parentage of Louvenia Sweatt and Rufus Matthews. He grew up and attended school in Dallas, TX. Soon after, he met his wife Ruby Lockridge and they married in 1988. They shared seven children. He departed this life on July 13, 2022.

He was preceded in death by both his parents, Rufus Matthews and Louvenia Sweatt, and his siblings: (brother) Edison Earl Sweatt, (sister) Jennifer D. Sweatt.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories his wife, Ruby Sweatt, their seven children: (sons) Albert Jr. Sweatt, Tory Sweatt, (daughters) Shanausha Sweatt, Brittany Sweatt, Alexis Sweatt,    Ashley Sweatt, and Zaria Sweatt, his siblings: (sisters) Joslyn McGee, Millicent Wadley, Madalyn Holloway, (brothers) Robert Sweatt, and Jesse Wadley, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and close family and friends.
