IMPORTANT INFORMATION-Our business office is open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. For your convenience our telephones are answered 24 hours a day including weekends. You can talk to a licensed funeral director at any time. Public visitations are from 12 noon until 7:00 pm and wakes are usually scheduled between the hours of 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

PROCESSING THE DEATH CERTIFICATE-All Funeral Homes are required by law to file a Certificate of Death. This entails us gathering information from you (the family) and having the attending physician or medical examiner certify the cause of death. The completed Certificate of Death is then presented Bureau of Vital Statistics where it will be filed with the State of Texas. Certified copies are available to qualified persons for a fee.

SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFITS-The Funeral Home will file Form SSA-721 to notify the Social Security Office of the death. The Social Security Office requires the family to file for the $255.00 death benefit, which is available to a Surviving Spouse or Children under 18 years of age. The Social Security office can process most claims by telephone.

Social Security Benefits are NOT payable to the Funeral Home

VETERANS ADMINISTRATION-The deceased veteran, the veteran's spouse and dependent child of veteran is entitled for burial at the Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery at no charge, which includes: grave space, concrete grave liner, opening and closing of grave, U.S. flag, headstone and military honors. Burial days and times are: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.

The veterans discharge papers (DD214) and a certified copy of the death certificate is needed.

INSURANCE POLICIES-The Funeral Home will assist the family of the deceased or responsible party with filing all Life Insurance Polices. To do so, the original policies or policy numbers are needed along with a certified copy of the death certificate. Policies over 2 years old are accepted by the Funeral Home as a method of payment.

CRIME VICTIMS COMPENSATION-This program provides financial assistance to victims of violent crime for Funeral expenses. The program is administered by the Office of the Attorney General.
